There are doctest failures after installing the patches. See
http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/SimonKing/logs/8096test.log
Some of these failures seem pretty severe. There are unexpected numerical
values and recursion depth problems.
Do you have an idea how such innocent-looking change can have such a big
effect?
