I strongly disagree. The default should be monochromatic - maybe even
black, but we haven't done that, so stick with blue for now. But the
multiple colors can be very distracting, and also difficult for some
people to see.
However, I ''do'' agree that it should be super-easy to do what you
suggest. Maybe even 'colors=True' or something like that.
