Okay, this patch, applied to the examples/ repository, should take of
this. Needs review. wdj, why don't you go ahead and look at the newton-
raphson examples on the interact part of the Wiki and see if that
essentially has that, otherwise can you think of an appropriate place to
store it?
Also see #7494 on removing all of this examples/ directory.
