Comment:
We (Jim Stankewicz and John Cremona) have applied all three patches to
sage-4.4.4. A very small amount of rebasing was needed. We have so far
tested all of additive_abelian_groups, homology, and elliptic_curves;
some more fixing was needed which is in the 4th patch. Some of the
changes in this last patch were just fixing some mistakes made in rebasing
manually.
We are now testing the whole Sage library, but the ticket is ready for
review (again!)
