I rebuilt 4.5.alpha1 overnight and it works now. Not sure what caused the
problem. I can't rule out that I forgot to rebuild and/or some patch.
Another possible problem was that I originally used parallel make for sage
which died half way through because of a missing file. Since restarting
the compilation succeeded, I had assumed that everything built OK.
In any case, the toric code works so I'll set it back to
`positive_review`.
