In addition to the numerous tests by others above, I've successfully
tested the new package with both Sage 4.5 and 4.5.1 on Ubuntu 9.04 x86 and
x86_64, gcc 4.3.3 and gcc 4.5.0, by installing the package as well as
building Sage from scratch with it. (All {{{ptestlong}}}s passed.)
