I was unable to attach the files earlier, as trac was not working
correctly (/var was full).
Note Alex Ghitza said on sage-devel that
{{{modular/overconvergent/weightspace.py}}} has no reason to use Maxima,
so he created a patch to fix that #9843. Of course, that does not help
solve the underlying problem here.
