 Hi!

 It seems that there is a problem I hadn't thought of: If one has used the
 spkg before, then data are accumulated that are later used when doing
 related computations. Of course, I ''did'' use the package before. Now,
 when testing, it can happen that the old results (potentially obtained
 with an old program version) are used and spoil the tests.

 So, @kcrisman, this might be another explanation for the "particularly
 interesting" failure: There are old data on my computer, and I
 accidentally used the old data in the tests.

 I have to think how to solve that problem. Certainly the tests should work
 both with and without having old data in the system. I did try to write
 the tests so that the computations are either done from scratch or use
 data that I have full control of, but it seems that I missed some
 exceptions.
