versions by stripping the made copies, then installing both (if
requested).
Unfortunately it's not that easy. Singular's debug version is build via
completely different targets. This might change somewhen in the
(hopefully) not to far future. (This would obsolete our {{{CPPFLAGS}}}
issue here also.)
