 One reason I gave up any hope of making polymake standard was the
 compilation time; it was one reason I began writing polyhedra.py instead
 of improving the polymake interface.

 Are there many things in PPL that go beyond cddlib?  I am having trouble
 wading through their documentation so its unclear to me.
