I did it like that: I installed Sage plus the database_gap package plus
the cohomology package as root, and then I did computations in my usual
account.
Another possibility: Install the package in the usual way, but then change
the permissions (recursively, of course) for SAGE_DATA, so that you have
read but not write permission - then you should still be able to use the
package.
