As of 4.6.0, the following code hangs:
{{{
sage: MS = MatrixSpace(ZZ, 2, 2)
sage: R.<x> = MS[]
}}}
whereas
{{{
sage: MS = MatrixSpace(ZZ, 2, 2)
sage: R.<x> = PolynomialRing(MS)
}}}
works.
