That makes a lot of sense, especially since that takes a while even on
speedy machines.

By the way, I tried #11574 but ran into trouble with an undefined symbol
about `m4ri_swap_bits`, perhaps due to my having installed #9562 first. I
did apply the patch at #11574. Anyway, I'm reverting to the vanilla Sage
version, and then going back to #11574 (I already had done the !PolyBoRi
upgrade).
