It turns out that this (unrelated) failure is already know, from over a
year ago - see #9167. Unfortunately, in the meantime the library is the
default way to interact with ECL and Maxima, so this is much more serious
now.
PS - feel free to unpack the spkg and check it's made correctly to finish
positive review here :)
