be applied to the *new* standard spkg. (Andrew, please correct me if I am
wrong on this).
The optional spkgs mentioned the description work with the new database
format, but there are a few places where the version of the package is
hardcoded into the sage library (so holding off may be a good idea). I am
going to remove these, so that maintaining the spkg is an easier chore.
