anything to do in the spkg apart from updating the sources. Are you sure
that you got all the doctests that need fixing with 5.24.0? I thought
there was another one but I could be wrong.

think this would be worth checking and making sure is right. I'd rather
upgrade as much as possible and allow a (correct) ungood simplification go
by.
