 it's still quite inconsistent, the use of {{{self}}} and
 {{{``MixedIntegerLinearProgram``}}} in docstrings.
 There does not seem any logic behind these different uses, at least not to
 me.

 Shouldn't we consistently write {{{self}}} there?
