Comment:
Unmerged because unmerging #12313 while keeping #11521 gives on OS X 10.6:
{{{
$ ./sage -t --verbose devel/sage/sage/misc/cachefunc.pyx
[...]
Trying:
P = QQ['a, b, c, d']; (a, b, c, d,) = P._first_ngens(4)###line
1038:_sage_ >>> P.<a,b,c,d> = QQ[]
Expecting nothing
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unhandled SIGSEGV: A segmentation fault occurred in Sage.
This probably occurred because a *compiled* component of Sage has a bug
in it and is not properly wrapped with sig_on(), sig_off(). You might
want to run Sage under gdb with 'sage -gdb' to debug this.
Sage will now terminate.

}}}
