Regarding indentation, autoindent being on breaks sage inside Emacs (dumb
terminal). So I think it should be off, at least in a dumb terminal,
until/unless I can figure out how to fix this in Emacs. I haven't really
looked into it at all, so it may be easy to fix inside Emacs by setting
some environment variables or something. See #10504.
