I am told that braids package is obsolete. Its functionality is now
(almost) superseded by another package, mapclass, by the same group of
authors.

I made a list with the licenses of some packages (1.) and a spkg with
those packages that have gpl license and i was able to make install
seamlessly (2.).
It was all for 4.4.12 version, but should be easily ported to 4.5
