LONDON, Feb 14 (Reuters) - London Metal Exchange tin hit a fresh high and
aluminium gained on Wednesday as supply problems persisted after the previous
session's rally, analysts said. "The market is in a reasonably buoyant mood,"
analyst John Meyer at Numis Securities said.
Aluminium for delivery in three months <MAL3> was up $16, or 0.7 percent,
at $2,830 a tonne by midsession. Tin <MSN3> was up at $12,775 versus $12,550
after hitting a new high of $12,800. The metal was supported after PT Koba Tin
(MSCB.KL: Quote, Profile , Research) suspended shipments from Indonesia on
Monday. The Bolivian government spurred worries after taking control of
Glencore's 12,000-tonne-a-year Vinto tin smelter. Glencore said it would fight
against nationalisation. [ID:nL14130070]
