PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) saat ini masih melakukan studi kelayakan untuk mencari lokasi pabrik FeNi IV. Pabrik baru berkapasitas 30 ribu ton per tahun yang kemungkinan tetap di wilayah timur Indonesia itu diperkirakan menelan dana sebesar US$800 juta atau lebih tinggi dari estimasi semula senilai US$650 juta. Direktur Utama Antam D. Aditya Sumanegara dalam acara Indonesia Business BUMN Forum and Exhibitions (IBBEX) di Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Kamis (12/04), mengatakan, pembangunan pabrik FeNi IV dilakukan dengan skema usaha patungan dimana perseroan berharap menguasai 60 persen ekuitas. Namun Aditya tidak mengungkapkan siap investor yang akan diajak menjadi rekanan dalam pembangunan pabrik itu. Tapi tidak menutup kemungkinan Antam akan membangun sendiri pabrik baru tersebut.
