Nickel Futures Advance to Highest Ever on London Metal Exchange

May 4 (Bloomberg) -- Nickel, a metal mostly used to make
stainless steel, rose to a record on the London Metal Exchange.
Nickel for delivery in three months on the LME increased as
much as $443, or 0.9 percent, to $50,243 a metric ton and was at
that price as of 7:20 a.m. local time.
The previous all-time high of $50,200 a ton was set April
24. Nickel has advanced 51 percent this year.
