IQP, (30/5) - PT International Nickel Indonesia Tbk (Inco) menargetkan
peningkatan produksi pada tahun ini mencapai 160-165 juta pon. Semula,
perseroan
memperkirakan jumlah produksi sampai akhir tahun mencapai 155-165 juta pon.
Hingga akhir 2006 lalu, total produksi Inco hanya mencapai 157,9 juta pon
nikel
dalam matte. Total produksi itu menurun 10,5 juta pon dibandingkan 168,4
juta
pon nikel pada 2005.
Presdir Inco Arif Siregar mengatakan apabila bendungan Karrebe dapat segera
dimulai pembangunannya maka jumlah produksi pada 2010 akan meningkat menjadi
200 juta pon. "Departemen Kehutanan mensyaratkan ada surat dari Badan
Pertanahan
Nasional (BPN). Kami baru saja menerima surat dari BPN dan hal ini akan kami
komunikasikan dengan Dephut dulu," ujarnya rabu siang. Pembangunan bendungan
ini menelan biaya US$275 juta sampai US$280 juta. Sumber dana pembangunan
bendungan ini berasal dari kas internal perseroan.
