DJ Energi Mega Resumes Offshore Sepanjang Oil Field Operations
JAKARTA (Dow Jones)--PT Energi Mega Persada (ENRG.JK) said Thursday it has
resumed crude oil production at the offshore Sepanjang field Monday after
installing a new floating storage tank.
The new tank has 230,000 barrels of storage capacity, larger than the previous
one, which was replaced due to an unspecified technical problem in April. The
problem led to a halt in operations at the field off East Java in April.
"Currently the Sepanjang field is producing crude oil at average volume of
3,500 barrels per day from the SED-1A well," Energi Mega said in report to the
Jakarta Stock Exchange.
The company is developing the well to reach a maximum capacity of 9,000 barrels
of crude a day, it said.
