LONDON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Tin hit a record high and copper rose on Wednesday
as equity markets bounced and bargain hunters returned to a market under
pressure from rising stocks and worries about falling demand from China and
the United States.
Firmer sentiment on equity markets, generally higher base metal prices and
higher share price forecasts [ID:nWNA4413] helped London-listed miners such as
BHP Billiton (BLT.L: Quote, Profile, Research) and Rio Tinto (RIO.L: Quote,
Profile, Research), which both gained more than 2 percent.
Copper (MCU3: Quote, Profile, Research) for delivery in three months on the
London Metal Exchange was higher at $7,075/7,095 a tonne by 1406 GMT compared
with $6,930 on Tuesday.
Tin (MSN3: Quote, Profile, Research) hit a record high of $17,249 before
trading at $17,105/17,110, up $205 after gaining some 50 percent this year.
