China metal demand remains strong

Analysts say demand for metals in China and other nations with roaring
economies, such as India, should keep the sector bubbling.
The mining sector's value, while hit by fears of a global economic slowdown,
has been given positive expectations by Mines and Money conference delegates in
London.
The so-called "super-cycle" which began in 2002 has seen the price of copper
soar five-fold in five years and delegates have been assured it is far from
over.
Mining experts at the conference were told the cycle is still strong, but fears
of a slowdown to U.S economic growth, could dent demand for metals and other
commodities.
