PT. CAHAYA KALBAR was established in 1968. In 1996, the company was public
listed at Jakarta Stock Exchange under the trading code "CEKA". We are a well
known producer of various ingredients for entire range of food products : * for
chocolate and cocoa confectionary industries, icing coating, confectionary
filling. * Aloe Vera concentrates and powder for functional food,cosmetics and
pharmaceutical industry. We also produce and supply ingredients to the
restaurant / hotel industry, cake and bakery industry and later we enter the
retail /wholesale market with the functional beverage drink products. Under the
trademark : ALOEFIT.
Net profit decreased by 10.91% to IDR21.594 billion in 2005 from
IDR24.238 billion in 2004. The net loss decreased because of tax revenue which
reached IDR5.098 billion in 2005 versus tax expense which was worth IDR7.77
billion in 2004. Net sales went up by 43.61% to IDR240.713 billion from
IDR167.612 billion, that made the company able to book gross and operating
profits of IDR20.055 billion and IDR8.193 billion each compared to gross and
operating loss of IDR963.254 million and IDR11.720 billion.
