Indonesia's Dec CPI up 11.06 pct JAKARTA, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Indonesia's consumer prices rose in December 11.06 percent over a year earlier, below expectations, data showed on Monday, easing from November's pace and suggesting the central bank can cut rates to spur growth.
The annual inflation rate was the lowest in six months. Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast the data would show that consumer prices rose in December 11.30 percent from a year earlier, a slowdown from November's 11.68 percent as oil prices fell. Consumer prices fell 0.04 percent from the previous month, against expectations for a 0.24 percent rise and compared with an increase of 0.12 percent in November. The monthly figure is not seasonally adjusted. The majority of analysts polled before the data was released had predicted the central bank would cut its benchmark rate by 25 basis points to 9.00 percent at its policy meeting this Wednesday, to help drive growth in Southeast Asia's top economy. ------------------------------------ Kunjungi situs http://www.info-saham.com untuk informasi seputar saham.
