Lagos — The National Agency for Food Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), confirmed that three batches of Indomie Noodles have been found to be contaminated with carbofuran, a carbamate pesticide used in agriculture. Director General, Dr. (Mrs.) Dora Akunyili, who said the agency swung into action following the reported death of Mr. Oluyemi Moritiwon, and other cases of stooling, vomiting, diarrhea among consumers, after a meal of Indomie Instant Noodle (Chiken flavour), in Lagos that out of 28 batches tested, three were found to be contaminated with carbofuran. http://allafrica.com/stories/200405200336.html
