The state-owned company is examining a mine in Australia owned by Peabody Energy Corp., one in the U.S. owned by Massey Energy Co. and another in Indonesia, Bhattacharyya said. According to recent interview broadcast by Radio Mirchi, India, the third candidate in Indonesia would likely be Perseroan Terbatas Exploitasi Energi Indonesia Tbk, formerly known as Central Korporindo International, along with another joint venture prospect with Indonesia state-run coal company Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk.
