Net profit bisa > operating profit kalau other income lebih besar daripada other expense dan tax. Other income ini bisa pendapatan bunga, keuntungan penjualan aset, bagian keuntungan dari partner bisnis, keuntungan restrukturisasi utang, dll. Contoh: INDY, biasanya net profit > operating profit karena banyak kepemilikan INDY pada anak usahanya kurang dari sekian persen sehingga tidak dikonsolidasi.
