It might be relevant. We are trying to move away from JDIC towards XPCOM, but we aren't there yet. And in order for the authoring tool to work Tony needs some kind of browser component that can deal with popup windows better.
The most recent solution was to hire a consultant to get the XPCOM working sooner, but I think it will be long road before it is good enough. I don't like the idea of spending more money and time on Webrenderer, but it might be the quick fix Tony needs. Before we go to far someone needs to verify it at least works on OSX. And the the next step is to see if it fixes the popup problems Tony found before. We still have all the infrastructure in place to run the old webrender. But someone will probably need to update the org.telscenter.proprietary.TelsProprietaryLauncher class, if we try to use the new one. We'll talk about this more at the tels meeting today.
