A few spam messages have made it onto this discussion list in the last week or two. Earlier the spam filter was catching them and putting them into the moderation queue. But even that was somewhat annoying.
Back in August I asked that the list be configured so anyone anywhere could post to it. I said that we could change it back to members only if it became too annoying. Well I think it has. It's easy to join the list so it's not much of a barrier. SAIL-Discuss is still open and that's where most new people first post anyway. So I've changed it back to Members Only.
