Hi everybody,

Do you know of a good (hopefully free) software that can support the
following scenario:
- Users: a teacher and multiple students using multiple computers, located
in different places. They all have internet connection. The teacher is
located far away from the students, and the students are all in the same
room.
- There is a whiteboard (like a drawing tool) that at least the teacher can
write on. If the students can write on it, that's a plus.
- What the teacher writes on the whiteboard becomes immediately available to
the students on their computer(s).
- Having audio communication is a plus; students can ask the teacher
questions, and the teacher can use the whiteboard along with oral
explanation.

I'm thinking something along the lines of what we did at the retreat with
SubEthaEdit (but SubEthaEdit is a text tool), and possibly using skype for
audio.

One solution might be to use desktop sharing and skype: the teacher shares
her desktop, students connect to the desktop using VNC. The teacher uses a
drawing tool on the computer (like Paint) and talks with the students using
Skype.

Do you know of any other solutions/suggestions?

Thanks,
Hiroki
