The development SDS rails process instances are taking about 33% less memory than the production Rails process instances. In some cases process sizes with the production SDS have ballooned much larger.
The development SDS is built on Rails 2.0.2. This is the latest stable release of Rails. The production SDS is built on Rals 1.1.6 which was released about 18 months ago. I'd like to encourage the Toronto and Berkeley folks to more extensively test the dev SDS and let me know if it works with the the various portal systems you have working now. Finding any last bugs and moving this new codebase to production will make he server more stable and responsive. See: http://www.telscenter.org/confluence/display/SAIL/SDS+fcgi+server+process+memory+tests for more info. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAIL-Dev" group.
