Exciting news!

WISE 3.0 Portal is ready for testing, with Beat's SAILified Meiosis project.

How to see the project as a student

1) Go to the W3 Portal home page. Point your browser to:
http://wise-dev.berkeley.edu/webapp/index.html.

2) Create a student account. Click on "Join WISE", then "Student Account".
Fill in the form, and for the student code, type in one of the below:

Trout988-c (if you want to be in period c)

Trout988-java (if you want to be in period java)

Trout988-perl (if you want to be in period perl)

Trout988-php (if you want to be in period php)

Trout988-python (if you want to be in period python)

Trout988-ruby (if you want to be in period ruby)

Trout988-scheme (if you want to be in period scheme)

3) Note the username that is generated, and use that to sign in. This will
take you to the Student Home page.

4) Click on "Run Project", and choose "By Myself". If you've registered
more than 1 student account, you can do "With 1-2 Teammates". This will
download the project and then start the project.

How to see the project as an anonymous user

1) If you logged in before, make sure to log out. (There should be a log-out
button on the top-right corner of the screen)

2) Go to the W3 Portal home page. Point your browser to:
http://wise-dev.berkeley.edu/webapp/index.html

3) Click on "Instant Preview". This will bring up a page with two projects
available to preview: Meiosis and Airbags.

4) Click on the "Preview Project" link. This will download the project and
then start the project.

How to see the W3 portal as a teacher:

Option 1: sign in as wiseteacher/wise. This is the teacher account that was
used to set up the Meiosis run above. Once you log in (you'll be in Teacher
Home page), you should browse around. Try out the "My Project Runs" and
"View My Students" link in the Quick Links section of the Teacher Home page.

Option 2: Create a student account. Click on "Join WISE", then "Teacher
Account". Fill in the form. Note the username and use that to log in.

Beat's Meiosis run is scheduled for Feb 12 at CollegePark High School, CA,
and we're hoping to make this our very first WISE 3.0 run. Please help us
test his project (he has a new step called "SelfTest" on Activity 2, Step 1,
A2S2, A4S1, A4S2, A4S3, A4S6, and so forth) and the new WISE 3.0 Portal.
