Real sacrifice is sacrificing the evil that is within one. The discarding of Evil is the Real sacrifice, said Swami. In many of His historic discourses, Swami emphasize that we should kill the animal tendencies within us, and transform the human qualities into Divine One. The messages contained in Vedas, Puranas and Ithihasa are narrated by Swami in very simple languages so that even a lay may can understand. The problem with most of the devotees is 'forgetting quickly whatever good things we learn and imbibing the bad and retaining them for ever'. This is the nature of mind. Mind is like a fly which sits equally on offal as well as on sweets. Flies are attracted to garbage easily. Our mind too relishes in evil and easily assimilate the evil. We have to remain doubly careful in order to retain the good and discard the Evil. Sairam, Saisaran.
