The rays that emanate from Me are of three grades: the sthula (physical, gross) filling Prasanthi Nilayam; the sukshama (subtle) pervading the earth; and the karana (causal) covering the entire universe. The people who have the privilege of living in this nilayam are indeed lucky, for they are nearest to the kirana (rays). The sthula kirana makes man a sadhaka; the sukshma kirana makes him Mahathma and the karana converts him into a Paramahamsa (ascetic of the highest order). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Source: Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. II.
