OIS’s mission is to protect the WBG’s information assets in a manner that supports the WBG’s mission to have a world free of poverty. The office develops strategy, standards and processes to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of WBG information assets in a manner that is aligned with their values and risk appetite. OIS maintains an information security program in a way that respects the rights and privacy of those it serves and addresses the needs of the WBG’s business units. OIS is responsible for managing security strategy, operations and compliance activities for the WBG’s five (its actually four i.e. IBRD, IDA, MIGA & IFC. TRE is part of IBRD) member institutions. In addition, OIS manages security across remote sites in over 180 countries across the globe.
The OIS is in search of an onsite Information Security Operations Team Lead for its Information Security Operations (iSOC) in India. The Team Lead will oversee daily operations of iSOC in India and ensure engineers are following standard operating procedures.

Duties and AccountabilitiesMaintain security operations and administration procedures guide and checklists; ensure daily tasks and activities are documented • Supervise a staff of 15 FTEs to provide call center support on a 24×7x365 basis by shift work with rotation to monitor and respond to security incidents; including but not limited to the following areas:
? Monitor and alert on security events ? Respond to security incident to contain and eradicate? Conduct file system and network forensic analysis of local and remote resources
? Conduct technical analysis of information security related incidents ? Review logs and key security controls ? Maintain log and event monitoring systems ? Collect security metrics for developing and reporting KPIs? Investigate and determine the impact of an information security alert, including identifying false positives • Work closely with OIS HQ team to develop and maintain workflow to ensure smooth daily operations and provide feedback for process improvements • Provide timely feedback to HQ management on staff performance and quality of work
• Provide feedback for process improvements • Conduct regular onsite incident response exercises • Record and update Security Operations Knowledge Base for training• Provide coaching and mentoring to security operations engineering and recommend training as appropriate • Maintain technical proficiency in information security concepts, technologies and emerging threats and defense measures
Selection Criteria Required Education/Experience:• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields with minimum of 8 years of experience in information security and management of 24×7 basis operations
• Good understanding of the principles of information security • Industry certification in information security such as CISSP • Experience with computer emergency response team principles and procedures• Familiar with industry best practices and standards such as CoBIT, ISO 27001 and CMMI maturity model
• Experience in computer forensics tools and methodologies• System administrator level knowledge of multiple operating systems such as Windows, Solaris, and Linux. • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing/switching, DNS, Firewall technology, IDS/IPS, and network protocol analysis. • Experience running host based security tools such has AV scanners, firewalls and host intrusion prevention systems • Experience in establishing process and control framework for IT security operations
• Experience in managing and coaching junior staff• Must be detail oriented in documentation, quality assurance and operations report.
• Excellent oral and written communications Desired Skills: • Familiar or experienced in India labor market, culture and IT industry • Experience in compliance requirements in GLBA, SAS70, SOX and PCI • Experience in project management tools, techniques and methodologies • Experience in developing business documents such as RFP, RFI, and SLA • Experience in managing contract and contractors To create account and apply online click hereLike this Article?
