In celebration of the Advent of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, all are invited to chant the holy mantra, Sri Rudram, on a daily basis till the most auspicious occasion of His 84th Birthday, 23rd November, 2009. This will culminate in global chanting of the Sri Rudram 11 times daily from 11th â€" 21st November, 2009 to spread positive energy, uplift the human consciousness, and pray for all the beings in all the worlds to have happiness and peace! Those who cannot follow the above for any reason are welcome to chant Sri Rudram 11 times per day on any 11 days between now and Swami’s Birthday. During these times of terrorism, deadly diseases, and calamity it is most beneficial for everyone to join in prayer to prevent unnecessary pain and help the suffering. Bhagavan Baba Himself has declared, "That which is one and universal is the Veda. Veda can alleviate all types of suffering of man. Hence, it is good for everyone to learn the Veda." Moreover, He has said the mantras of the Sri Rudram... "Sustain all of human life."
