Saluting the national patriotic spirit, blending the same with devotional
fervor projecting selfless service styled by Bhagawan as main motto, Sai Youth
from Hyderabad staged a drama in telugu, entitled Namaami Bharathiyam in front
of a capacity audience in the Sai Kulwant Hall on 29th Jan evening in the
immediate Divine Presence of Bhagawan.
The drama that was set in the backdrop of a conversation between a
grandfather and two teenaged military officers took its route through flashback
scenes depicting the vanity behind delusive job opportunities abroad leaving
the motherland, the quit India agitation wherein the British had to face the
wrath of determined Indian Youth, to the final scene wherein the ever exuberant
Sai Youth bringing in revolution in the society at large through selfless
dedicated service.
Citing the example of a youth by name Vinay who was forced by his father
to go over to the US in pursuit of higher education, the two young military
officers expressed their displeasure at the youth of the day, claiming that
they have become self-centred and aimless. Having lost hope for a bright future
for India they were reluctant to serve at the border guarding the nation.
While empathizing with the mood of the young army men, the grandfather
recounted his youthful days enriched with great patriotic feeling towards
Indian Independence. Bringing in vivid pictures of the Quit India Movement in
1942 highlighting the determination of the youth to win over the British, the
grandfather drew a parallel to the current day scenario wherein the youth of
the nation could do much contributing to societal benefit.
The silent revolution by the Sai Youth that is steering the nation to
greater goodness, selfless service done in the name of Bhagawan following His
precepts, was highlighted in the final scene with an anecdote from the life of
a true beneficiary of the “Sri Sathya Sai Reprogramming Lives”, a free computer
education programme taken up by the Sai Youth of Hyderabad. Sreenu, the true
beneficiary explained the endless support and warmth he had received from the
Youth of Hyderabad, who have shaped the course of his life and also of hundreds
of similar unemployed and underprivileged youth.
The Army men seemed to have regained their hope to see a better India.
Listening to the grandfather stories reposing complete faith in Bhagawan and
the movement that He has set in motion, they decided to get back to their
positions in the border, once again doing surveillance for the nation, fighting
and protecting Mother India.
The drama was interspersed with thematic dance sequences evoking
patriotic feeling. At the end of the presentation Bhagawan moved down the ramp
to bless the cast with a photograph session.
