At about 8.00 PM in the holy place of Sri KalaHasthi in Andhra Pradesh, where
the RAJA GOPURAM, 135 feet high in 7 stairs, in front of the main historical
temple of Sri Kalahasti (Siva temple in the form wind), VAYU LINGAM collapsed
which was built by Sri Krishna Devaraya as a symbol of his victory at that time.

The signs were there more than 20 years ago when some cracks were found but the
management did not take any action. In the last few days it was found that
there was imminent danger of collapse of Raja Gopuram and people were removed
nearby and it seems no life was lost when it just collapsed in front of Sri
Krishna Devaraya's statue which is not affected at all.
