Seeing God in Everyone

By Mrs. Phyllis Krystal

When Swami had the first broken hip in Whitefield, my daughter and I were there
at that time. Naturally, everyone was horrified, especially when we were
informed that He had walked around for eighteen hours before He was taken to
the hospital.

I asked in a waking dream or a reverie to be shown how to help Him. I knew that
His chair had been removed from the hall, which had been emptied of devotees
and closed, allowing no one to re-enter. So, it was a big surprise to see Him
sitting in His chair, in my inner room, but not in His familiar form in His
orange robe. Instead, was what I can only describe as His light body, which was
shining brightly and studded with jewel-like lights. I was, to say the least,
both astonished and dazzled by the inner sight.

Then, it was as if I heard His voice in my head telling me that this light body
was His real Self and the same is true for everyone. However, most people
identify with their physical body, so are not aware of this glorious light body
that is also the real Self. The next message was that if we would concentrate
and visualize the light body around Baba, it would enable us to accept and
visualize a similar, but smaller one, first around onself and then around
everyone else.

Shortly after this deep and meaningful experience, when I had returned home, I
was in a store in order to buy some greeting cards. To my utter surprise, I saw
a card depicting a similar light body around a painting by a clairvoyant of
Jesus Christ. As Baba often reminds us, there are no coincidences!

So, we can all use our imagination and visualize a similar light body
surrounding everyone with whom we have come into contact, and especially around
those we think have harmed us and those we do not like or whom we criticise.

No one should be excluded, for, as Swami Himself often reminds us, weare all
God and therefore all one at the God-Self level of our being.

At this critical time, I would urge all Baba's devotees to remember that Baba
is not His body, but in each one and that we can make contact with Him in our
own hearts.
