            Om Sri Sairam…!

Koti Koti Pranaams at Thy Divine Lotus Feet and

Saprem Sairam to all of you who have assembled on this holy land of
Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Niketan Complex situated in Dandakaranya Pradesh.

First of all, our sincere apologies for not being able to make it
to physically remain present here amongst you, owing to unavoidable
circumstances, although we very much wished.

We are extremely that Justice Sri Prafullbhai and Smt.
Prabhavatibahen Bhagwati and all other distinguished guests, teachers, students
and devotees of Bhagavan Baba are present here in a large number.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Unparalleled, Inexplicable,
Incomprehensible, Unimaginable, Immeasurable, Indescribable...... Avatar but at
the same time fully Immersed with Overflowing Divine Love to devotees as well
as non-devotees, worshippers as well as detractors was lovingly approached by a
group of his devotees in 1999 with a humble request to allow them to construct
a magnificent edifice to mark the celebration of His 75th year of the Avatar
and to perpetuate a Millennium Museum depicting the Message and Mission of the
Avatar to begin the 21st century. Swami lovingly granted permission for the
devotees’ proposal and on 18th Nov, 2000, the Planet Earth saw the Chaitanya
Jyoti inaugurated at the Divine Hands of the Avatar on its back.

I recall that various designs from all over the world were
presented to Swami at the time of Guru Poornima in 1999. Swami approved the
design that came from Malaysia and remarked “It will be the wonder of the 21st
century”. And so it has become. That the Museum was finished in less than half
the time believed to be necessary by the architects that too, in spite of
scores of challenges while constructing it was itself a wonder made possible by
Swami’s Avataric Sankalp. I have experienced such Avataric Grace in the past
also when “Dharmakshetra”, the abode of Swami at Andheri in Mumbai was built up
in a record period of 108 days in May 1968 and the Sri Sathya Sai University
was established at Prashanti Nilayam in 1981 surmounting Himalayan difficulties
by His Divine Grace. The Chaitanya Jyoti building is a mosaic of world cultures
brought into unison with a Divine Architectural vision realized through devoted
craftsmanship. As visitors enter the precincts of Chaitanya Jyoti, they pass by
a delicately carved beautiful Stupa rising out of a fountain pond. The Stupa is
the symbol of the human approach to living in the world. For example, the five
swans at the base of the lotus in the pond advise the five sensory organs to
practice discrimination between the truth and untruth, similarly the lotus stem
rising above water, advises us to live in this world rising above desires,
practicing detachment. So also the entire universe supported on one finger of
Swami advises how life in the world becomes easy when we follow the path
pointed by truth.

While the building stands out like a flame from a lamp, the inner
contents in the form of a museum on the Mission and Message of the Avatar is
like the oil that feeds the lamp. Visitors exposed to this Divine Illumination
can transform their lives through a constant contemplation of the contents of
the museum and putting into practice the Message of the Avatar. Viewing
Chaitanya Jyoti from start to end with concentration and contemplation &
sitting silently in the hall is the greatest Spiritual Sadhana of washing the
Head & Heart in the Divine Ocean of spiritual knowledge provided in the ninety
exhibits depicting Swami’s Life, Work, Message and Mission. The Chaitanya Jyoti
is a lasting visual treat inscribing Karma Yog, Bhakti Yog, and Gnyan Yog
permanently on the Heart of the viewer.

The Chaitanya Jyoti is a flame of consciousness. Bhagavan is the
never extinguishing Chaitanya Jyoti for the entire universe. Bhagavan’s love is
the never exhausting oil for His Chaitanya Jyoti to spread the Divine Light, to
dispel ignorance of the mankind. Prashanti Nilayam is the ocean of Divine Love
for His Chaitanya Jyoti. Every individual has also a Chaitanya Jyoti in a tiny
miniature scale within him. It is necessary for everyone to get the oil
continuously provided so that the Jyoti of consciousness does not get
extinguished. It is not possible for every devotee to get his Jyoti charged
from the Chaitanya Jyoti at Prashanti Nilayam. Therefore, Bhagavan is
motivating His devotees to kindle such Chaitanya Jyotis at various centres.
Your exhibition is a miniature Chaitanya Jyoti blessed by Swami. It will
certainly act as a battery charger to the viewers.

Navsari District of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Gujarat is
the first in India, outside the physical boundary of Prashanti Nilayam, to be
fortunate to be the recipient of the Divine Blessings from Bhagavan Sri Sathya
Sai Baba to bring the this Chaitanya Jyoti to you and especially to thousands
who have not yet seen Revered Bhagavan in His Physical human form.

Glory of Sri Sathya Sai Exhibition will kindle more and more Atma
Jyoti, Divya Jyoti, Prem Jyoti and Akhand Jyoti that will benefit all the
generations, past, present and future.

Our compliments to all the office bearers and others in Sri Sathya
Sai Seva Organisations, Gujarat to accomplish completion of this
state-of-the-art exhibition and the auditorium in the record time.
