Date: This photo was taken on September 1, 2007.
Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, on His way to Kodaikanal, visited Anada
Nilayam, in Madurai and gave Darshan to thousands of devotees gathered. Swami
had once mentioned, that Ananda Nilayam is my second place of residence after
Prashanthi Nilayam.
On this joyful day, Sri Srinivasan Chettiar, President, Sri Padhuga
Trust, Madurai, offered to Bhagavan, a golden garland containing 108
Saligramams. He has taken so much effort and pains to collect those precious
divinely sligrams, all of same size, and got it made into a wonderful
Garland. Swami accepted, and examined the garland with great interest.
On Swami’s instructions, this Golden Saligram garland was placed around
the neck of the Idol of Sri Shirdi Sai baba, installed in Ananda Nilayam.
Some other day, I shall post you the photograph of Shirdi Sai baba in
Ananda Nilayam, wearing this Golden Saligramam.
