This beautiful idol of Shiva Parivar (family of Lord Shiva), is carved
out of a single stone. The stone, called the “jade” is green in colour like
emerald, and very hard one. It is very difficult to chisel this stone to get
the intricate shapes.
The idol carved out of a single stone, shows, Lord Shiva, Mother
Parvathi. Lord Karthik and Lord Ganesh are seen sitting on their laps. The
Vahanas of these deities, such as Vrushbha, lion, peacock and mouse etc., are
also indicated at the bottom of the idol.,
Sri A.S.A.S. Srinivasan Chettiar, President of Sri Sai Padhuga Trust took
great interest to get this idol made from special sources. Here, Sri Chettiar
with His wife, Mrs. Badri Srinivasan are seen, dedicating this wonderful
master piece, to our Lord, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai baba, in the premises of
Yajur Mandiram at Prashanthi Nilayam.
Swami very gracious and kind enough to accept this wonderful ideol of
