SRI SATHYA SAI CENTRAL TRUST, PRASANTHI NILAYAM

Press Release No. 3 – July 3, 2011

Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust makes this Press Release as there has been
incorrect reporting in a section of the press and electronic media with respect
to the inventory of valuables undertaken in the ground floor of Yajur Mandir on
July 2, 2011.

1. There was no “search” by the Government. The representatives of the
Government visited Prasanthi Nilayam at the specific request of the Trust to
assist in taking inventory of the remaining portions of Yajur Mandir; nothing
was “seized”.

2. It was wrongly reported that the Yajur Mandir was opened by Mr. Satyajit.

The Yajur Mandir main door keys were kept in two covers duly signed and sealed
by two Trustees namely Mr. S.V. Giri and Mr. R. J. Ratnakar. These were brought
from the safe custody where they were stored. The locks were opened in the
presence of the Joint Collector, Additional Joint collector, Anantapur and the
Trustees and members of the Council of Management present in Puttaparthi that
day.

3. It was reported in a section of the Press that Mr. V.Srinivasan, Trustee,
was present. Mr. V. Srinivasan at that time was away in Jharkand to participate
in a Seva activity of the Sai Organisation.

4. There was an unfounded allegation that on the night of July 1, substantial
material from the Yajur Mandir was spirited away, anticipating the visit of the
Government representatives.

>From the day of Maha Samadhi, all movement to and from Yajur Mandir are being
>recorded by the Andhra State Police who are on duty 24 hours of the day.

5. There was a report that the Trustees had earlier made a statement after the
inventory was taken on June 17 that the inventorisation of the Yajur Mandir was
complete.

The Trustees had made no such statement. On June 17 and 18, 2011 only the
private chambers of Bhagawan Baba was inventoried as was indicated in the Press
Statement. The room adjoining the private chamber in the first floor and the
ground floor were not inventoried. It was only to inventory these rooms, the
presence of Government representatives was requested.

6. There was a report that there is lot more to be recovered from Yajur Mandir.
There were even fanciful references to tunnels and secret passages. No such
tunnels or secret passages exist.

All items in the room adjoining the private chambers of Bhagawan Baba and the
ground floor were inventoried. A professional valuer was present and the final
values were announced by the Trust in Press Release No. 2 l on July 2..

Press Release No. 2 - July 2, 2011

The Yajur Mandir was inspected by the Trustees, Council of Management, Members
and Representatives of the Government of Andhra Pradesh namely the Joint
Collector and the Additional Joint collector today.

The details of the valuables inventoried today in the Yajur Mandir, other than
the Private Chambers of Bhagawan Baba, are as follows:

Items Value

Silverware (116 Kgs) Rs. 5796607
Gold Jewellery (905 gms) Rs. 1583525
Diamond ring Rs. 309361
Cash Nil

Total Rs. 7689493

The private chambers of Bhagawan Baba were also inspected and no valuables were
found.

The Joint Collector, who spoke to the Media, also made it clear to the Press
that there were no other valuables in the private chambers and no silver, gold,
precious stones, or cash were found elsewhere in the premises besides the
inventoried material.

After the inspection, Yajur Mandir was double locked and the keys were kept
with the two Trustees.

All the items that were inventoried are left in the central hall in the ground
floor of Yajur Mandir and these will be deposited with the State Bank of India
on the next working day, which is Monday, July 4.

7. The Trust is doing everything to be completely transparent in all its
activities. A section of the Media is still indulging in incorrect reporting
and innuendos. We appeal to them, in the name of responsible journalism, to
desist from this practice. We do hope that they will realize that such
misreporting would only damage the credibility of the institutions that
Bhagawan Baba has set up for public good.
