Professor Anil Kumar once said the following about the Wonderful Late
Shri.Kasturi.
In the year 1970, when I first came to Puttaparthi with my family, the eldest
of my four kids was five years old and I was carrying the youngest in my arms.
As I was moving about in the campus, the children felt very thirsty. I could
not ask for water from anyone as everyone seemed to be so busy, going to the
Mandir; I didn’t know where to get water from. And then I saw Professor Kasturi
coming out of his residence.
I went to him and said, “Sir, I am a Professor from the Christian College in
Guntur; my children want some water. I know it’s time for you to go for
Darshan, If you could get me some Water, i would be most thankful to you. He
immediately said, “Mr. Anil Kumar, giving water to your children is more
important to me than having Darshan.!”
And after serving my children, he added, “This is service to Swami; such acts
will please and also reach Him.”
I can never forget that in my life – which is not only the message of his life,
it is also a message to me and to our Sai brothers and sisters all over the
world.
