Dear sai brothers and sisters, I would like to share a nice experience of mine. I am a public speaker and right from my childhood days I have been speaking on the stage . I put my hard work and with enthusiasm I do the work. I always had a pinch of ego and felt elated when people praise me at the end of the show. For the past 7 years Since the birth of my son saidharshan I have not been rendering performances.
In the recent past,swamy was coming in my dream regularly wearing yellow colour robe . People said that yellow denotes knowledge . On swamy's birthday this year in sundaram my eyes were fixed on the book "sri sathya sai ananda dayi". I bought it and read the same in two days. The old mandir leelas of bhagawan were fascinating. with in a week I got an oppurtunity to perform harikatha in one of the prestigious sabhas of chennai during the marghazi festival. The topic given to me was Bhagawan sri sathya sai baba his leelas and teachings in young days. See the coincidence between the reading of the book and this topic. Performance after the gap of 7 years. Swami wiped by ego completely as I had no trace of it in my heart when I was asked to render the harikatha and I had no usual prayers and offerings to God to make it successful. I had only one ,my dear swami who assured me from my heart that he would do the rest. On the day of the programme, I did namaskar to the photo of bhagawan and I felt swami's presence near me very clearly. I earnestly prayed "swami I do not know how this is going to come out ,but I strongly feel that you are doing the rest". Never in my life I had performed for 2 hours harikatha that too about our beloved lord sathya sai baba. I was praying to swami to grant me darshan and just before the programme one lady who had a close acquintance with bhagawan and who actually witnessed the young sai gave me vibhuthi and a photo of bhagawan. When I was narrating about the birth of bhagawan we sang a song "kannan vandan" meaning Lord krishna has come and the power went off for a minute and the presence of lord was felt beautifully.The audience applauded my performance stating that it is one of the best in the season. All praises echoed in my heart with no trace of ego with a clear mind which concluded surrender to the will of Lord brings roaring success. sairam.
